Benjamin Burnley, the only constant member of Breaking Benjamin, assembled his original band to record their 2002 debut album, Saturate. Inspired by '90s grunge and hard rock greats like Alice in Chains and Deftones, Burnley's vision has made the group one of the leading rock acts of the 21st century. Word-of-mouth and heavy touring garnered them a solid following. By the release of 2004's <I>We Are Not Alone</I>, their music had attracted not only a mainstream audience, but also a famous fan—and future collaborator—in Billy Corgan.
