The Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square is based in Salt Lake City, Utah, and has been leading worship services there since 1847. Its music director Mack Wilberg views the music in this playlist—which features well-known hymns such as “All Creatures of Our God and King,” “Guide us, O Thou Great Jehovah,” and “Amazing Grace”—as a welcome opportunity to spread the choir’s message further. “Over the years I have grown to love these pieces of music and have personally arranged many of the compositions,” he tells Apple Music. “I hope that today’s audience will connect to their messages, because they have changed my life.” Wilberg believes this music will resonate with everyone—no matter their faith. “The music the choir performs is enjoyed by anyone who loves sacred music, and spans denominations and beliefs,” he says. “We hope that people will feel something as they listen and connect. In a world filled with uncertainty and chaos we can find peace as we focus our attention on sacred things.”
