Rap Life is home to hip-hop’s heavy hitters and its vanguard—the songs that speak to the moment and define the culture today. For so many years now, that’s been the work of Tyler, The Creator, and 2025 was no different. In July, the MC dropped <i>DON’T TAP THE GLASS</i>, his second album in a 10-month span, and from the outset of album opener “Big Poe”, it was clear he was on a different type of time. Sure, he was rapping his behind off, as someone with Tyler’s skill set is wont to do, but he sounded freer than ever, maybe finally able to celebrate the world-shaking cultural impact he’s had by way of some of the most danceable music of his career.
