Australian pop icon Kylie Minogue is one of music’s indomitable forces. Her career spans across five decades—beginning with her chart-topping debut, “I Should Be So Lucky,” in 1987—and extends through to the present day, boasting 80 million global record sales, six additional UK number-one singles and unmitigated worldwide acclaim. “Spinning Around,” released in 2000, kicked off Minogue’s “imperial era,” a winning streak of career-defining hits including “Can’t Get You Out of My Head,” “Slow,” and “All the Lovers.” Having cemented her signature sound—seductive, floor-filling dance-pop, anchored by her singular, immediately recognizable vocal—Minogue switched things up, making forays into country music and disco. In 2023, she unleashed “Padam Padam,” an unprecedented viral sensation that established the superstar’s longevity as a hitmaking force, beyond a shadow of a doubt. “Look, from my very first single, I was a duck out of water,” Minogue tells Apple Music. “I think people feel empowered by that because all things are possible.
