For those who love nothing more than seeing their music recap at the end of the year – but wish they didn’t have to wait so long – Free Your Music has something for you!
With Free Your Music, you can see your YouTube Music listening stats any time of the year – you don’t need to wait until December to see what you’ve been obsessed with in 2023!

The yearly music recap has been a big trend across multiple streaming platforms for the last few years, Spotify Wrapped was one of the most popular of the bunch. But YouTube Music has their own version, and while it is newer there are a lot of cool features on it.
Listeners can get some insight into what they have been obsessed with, how many hours of listening they have done – and who their favorite artist really is (are you a secret Swifty?)!
When your YouTube Music recap is ready, you’ll get a notification when you open the app – but if you’re not seeing that – what can you do?
To the overview!

For those who use both Google Photos and YouTube Music, you’ll be able to see a cool feature that links your videos and photos to the music you’ve listened to throughout the year.

Are you more interested in your YouTube recaps instead of the YouTube Music one? Head to the YouTube app on your mobile or tablet and search for the 2023 Recap, although not everyone can get it to work, so check out the YouTube blog for help.
The YouTube Music wrapped has a whole heap of great stats for you to check out, so you can really get to know how you listen to music.
Here are some of the things you’ll find:
You can share your YouTube Music Recap by heading to the recap screen. You’ll see a 100-track playlist!
Last year, it didn’t automatically save the playlist, so you’ll need to do that manually.
Look for the three dots on the Recap screen, click them, and then tap Add to playlist, find New Playlist, tap it, name your playlist, and then tap Create – and you’re done!
Just like with Spotify Wrapped, you can share your playlist with people. When you are on the Recap screen, tap Watch Now, and then you’ll see a Share button.
You can get your YouTube Music Recap anytime with the Free Your Music app.
And that’s the fastest way to get your hands on any end-of-year music listening stats.
There is nothing worse than moving music streaming services only to find that you have to recreate all of your playlists manually. It is a nightmare that no one should go through, and luckily – you don’t have to!
With the Free Your Music app, you can transfer your playlists from the streaming service it is stuck on to the one you’re using – and you can get started for free (scroll down and look for the Start Free button)!
