Spotify trying to lock-in users just after IPO

Spotify has recently IPO’ed, and its stock is available publicly to buy. The company is now under even closer watch from the public market, as it tries to beat the competition and compete in the market where it doesn’t really have any great distribution models.

Do you like comparing things? Do you like comparing things as much as we do? See what did there? We want to compare some music streaming platforms. Again. This time we’ll look at how user-friendly they are and how good their sound quality is.

Picky ain’t ya? Good! One can be disappointed in so many things today! Things can go from bad to all-out-war over just about anything. But. Not. Music. This one thing has to be just right.

We can all agree on the fact that music equals life. We’re not talking to eggheads that claim that oxygen or nutrition or any other trivia could provide that what music does. Not anymore we’re not. What we need is a steady supply of rhythm. One way or another, we need that fix to live, not just function. And we need to have access to music offline.

We tried both services when we were testing our importing tool. Both Spotify and Apple Music have its own advantages and personally, it was hard for us to choose better one...

First version of Stamp app (1.0) was created by Bartosz Hernas, as he was really frustrated how hard is it to import Spotify to Apple Music. He had huge Spotify library of tracks and playlists and wanted to try how it will work with Apple Music. He needed an Apple Music importer but there was none to be found.
