What is Stamp app and why we have built Apple Music importer?

Stamp app 1.0

First version of Stamp app (1.0) was created by Bartosz Hernas, as he was really frustrated how hard is it to import Spotify to Apple Music. He had huge Spotify library of tracks and playlists and wanted to try how it will work with Apple Music. He needed an Apple Music importer but there was none to be found.

After whole night of hacking, he created basic app to import tracks to Apple Music. You still had to use Exportify to get list of tracks from Spotify, but at this point it was already possible to get your tracks in Apple Music!

And then it all started…

Next day with help of friends Stamp 2 was born. It was totally rewritten as native Mac OS X app, was easier to use and you could choose tracks from Spotify directly in App. No need to use Exportify or any other tools anymore. It was showing you what is progress of importing to Apple Music and was much more stable.

In upcoming days our team released version for Windows as well and then we focused on fixing bugs and supporting our users.

Most challenging was supporting iTunes and its own craziness, but we handled it very well. At the end, core feature worked: import to Apple Music from Spotify or CSV.

Right now we support Spotify, Google Music, Rdio, Deezer (if you use csv exporting) and we are planning to do so much more. Stamp app is not just Apple Music importer anymore. It helps you move your music wherever you need.
