My Deezer Year 2026: When It Comes Out, How to See It, and What to Do If You Do Not Qualify

My Deezer Year is Deezer's year-end recap: the screens that round up your most-played songs, your top album of the year, your artists and the total minutes you spent streaming. If you are waiting for the 2026 edition, three things matter before the middle of November. When it is likely to land, what Deezer says you need to do to unlock it, and what to do if your recap comes back thin because you only joined Deezer partway through the year.

This post covers all three, in that order.

When does My Deezer Year 2026 come out?

Deezer's feature page does not publish a date in advance. Its own feature page says only this: "My Deezer Year comes out... at the end of each year! It's Deezer's little surprise before kicking off the new year." So the release history is the better planning tool.

Edition Went live Coverage
My Deezer Year 2024 19 November, early in that wraps season Later updated to include listening from the entire year
My Deezer Year 2025 1 December 2025 Extended edition released 7 January 2026, covering 1 January to 31 December 2025
My Deezer Year 2026 No date given on Deezer's feature page Deezer says the recap is updated in January

TechCrunch covered the 2025 launch on the day it happened, describing it as Deezer's annual recap similar to Spotify Wrapped. Deezer's own press release is datelined Paris, 1 December 2025. The season before that, the recap arrived earlier still, on 19 November.

So plan for a window rather than a date: somewhere between the middle of November and the first week of December 2026. Deezer has a reason to go early. TechCrunch pointed out that by releasing when it does, Deezer gets ahead of Spotify, Apple Music and Amazon Music in handing people an annual summary. Treat the window as a pattern, not a promise, until Deezer announces the 2026 edition. If you are tracking more than one recap this season, our guide to when Spotify Wrapped comes out has the equivalent timing for Spotify.

Your December listening still counts

Most year-end recaps are not based on the entire calendar year, which is why the music you listen to in December is rarely counted in them. Deezer handles this differently. Its FAQ says every stream counts until the last minute, and that the recap is updated in January for a fuller picture of your listening stats.

That is not just copy. The 2025 recap launched on 1 December, and on 7 January 2026 Deezer released an extended edition with data covering the entire year, 1 January to 31 December 2025. The 2024 recap got the same treatment after launching on 19 November.

The practical upshot: the version you open in early December is not the final one. If a December album takes over your rotation, open My Deezer Year again in January.

What My Deezer Year actually shows

Deezer describes the yearly recap as a way to explore your streaming statistics, including most-played songs, top album of the year, playlists, artists and the total amount of minutes spent streaming music.

The 2025 edition wrapped that data in a theme. Deezer built the recap as a romantic comedy with the user as the lead character. TechCrunch described the structure as three episodes: "Meet Cute" for the new artists you discovered during the year, "Love Triangle" for your top three artists, and "Happily Ever After" for your favorite tracks plus a personalized playlist. The 2024 edition used a different hook, inviting users to be roasted or hyped up based on their taste.

Alongside the personal recap, Deezer publishes global numbers. In 2025, Deezer users listened to an average of 122.8 hours of music, streaming more than 691 songs from 402 artists and discovering 357 new songs. Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift and Billie Eilish took the global top three artist spots.

How to open My Deezer Year

  1. Update the Deezer app. The 2025 edition was available in the app on iOS and Android devices.
  2. Open the Deezer homepage. Deezer says that once it is available, you will find your yearly music recap right on your Deezer homepage, in the app or in your browser.
  3. If you do not see it there, open the "Library" tab. Deezer lists that as the second place to access it.
  4. When you are done, look for your "My Top" yearly playlist, which collects your most-streamed songs from the year. The 2025 experience shipped with exactly that kind of personal playlist.

Do you qualify for My Deezer Year?

Deezer answers this in its own FAQ, and the answer contains no number: "All Deezer users are eligible for My Deezer Year and My Deezer Month. The only condition: to have streamed enough music for Deezer to draw out their listening trends and stats."

That is the entire published bar for the yearly recap: enough listening for Deezer to find trends in it. Deezer does put a hard figure in writing for the monthly recap, which needs at least 15 minutes of streaming before the last day of the month. It does not state an equivalent figure for the year on these pages, so the honest answer to "how many tracks do I need?" is that Deezer has not said.

Two groups are the most likely to fall short, though Deezer does not name them. People who opened a Deezer account in the autumn, and people who moved to Deezer from another service during 2026 and have a long listening history that simply is not on Deezer yet. There is a route for both, further down.

My Deezer Month: the recap that does not wait for December

Deezer support describes My Deezer Month as a personalized monthly music recap showing detailed statistics about your listening habits on Deezer. It arrives at the end of every month in the Deezer app.

What it includes:

  • Total listening time
  • Number of artists you listened to, and your top 10 artists
  • Number of tracks played, and your top 10 tracks
  • Your top 3 most-played genres
  • Your "Artist Crush", which Deezer defines as the newly discovered artist you streamed the most during the month

The rules are stricter and clearer than the yearly ones:

  • You need at least 15 minutes of streaming before the last day of the month.
  • It is available only on the mobile app, iOS or Android.
  • Any track you stream for more than 30 seconds counts, online or offline.
  • Your stats refresh at the beginning of each month, showing the previous month.

To find it, open your profile section or the dedicated carousel on your homepage. Deezer also keeps a playlist for every month you have spent on the service, filed on your profile under "My Deezer Month". If you do not want to wait at all, the Library tab has a "Top tracks" playlist holding your top 100 favorite songs of the moment.

No recap yet? Read your Deezer listening data directly

The reason a thin recap stings is that the data exists, it is just held back. As our Deezer stats page puts it, Deezer keeps your listening history to itself and often only hands it back once a year.

Free Your Music Stats reads your Deezer library and playback through Deezer's official sign-in and builds the picture itself: top artists, top songs, top genres and total listening time, whenever you want to check. Basic stats are free, covering most played songs, top artists and listening trends. Sign-in uses the official Deezer login and your password is never shared. Access is read-only, storage is in the EU, and none of your playlists are changed.

The flow is four steps:

  1. Download and install the Free Your Music app on your device.
  2. Sign in and connect your Deezer account.
  3. Open the Stats section in the app.
  4. Browse your most played songs, top artists, genres and listening trends, then export a shareable collage.

Because the stats are generated on demand rather than once a year, you can also look at all-time favorites instead of a single calendar window.

This is the part that matters for switchers. If you spent most of 2026 on another service and arrived at Deezer in September, connect the old account instead. Amazon Music, Apple Music, Deezer and Spotify all return full listening stats including top artists, songs, genres and minutes, while SoundCloud, Tidal, YouTube, Qobuz and Boomplay return library stats such as playlists, liked songs and albums. The full list lives on the music stats page.

If your old service was Spotify, start with how to see your Spotify stats, or read our Spotify Wrapped alternative guide for the year-round version of the same idea. Still weighing the move itself? Deezer vs Spotify covers the trade-offs, and how to get Amazon Music Recap handles the equivalent on Amazon.

Sharing your recap and the quiz

The quiz is the part of My Deezer Year that travels. Deezer lets you send your personalized quiz to friends even if they do not have Deezer, to find out who knows you best. The 2025 edition made that explicit: the quiz could be shared with anyone, Deezer user or not, and 80 percent of quiz participation came from non-Deezer users.

On plans, Deezer's own answer is the one quoted above: all Deezer users are eligible for both the yearly and monthly recaps, with the only condition being enough streaming for Deezer to find trends. If you would rather post a stats card than a quiz, Free Your Music turns your top artists, songs and genres into a single shareable collage built from your album art.

FAQ

Will My Deezer Year 2026 include my December listening?

Deezer says every stream counts until the last minute and that the recap is updated in January for a fuller picture. That held for 2025: the extended edition arrived on 7 January 2026 with data from 1 January to 31 December 2025.

Do offline plays count?

For the monthly recap, yes. As long as your app reconnects to the internet within a few days, your offline plays sync and are included.

Why are there artists in my stats that I do not recognize?

Deezer lists shared listening sessions, connected speakers, autoplay and someone else using your account as the usual causes, and notes that any song played for more than 30 seconds counts in your listening data.

Can I edit or remove something from my recap?

No. Deezer describes My Deezer Month as an automated, unfiltered reflection of your listening history, and points you to support if something looks seriously wrong.

Can my friends take the quiz without a Deezer account?

Yes. Deezer built the quiz to be sent to friends even if they do not have Deezer, and most 2025 participation came from people outside the platform.

Is Free Your Music Stats free?

Yes. Basic stats are free, covering most played songs, top artists and listening trends, and they work any day of the year rather than once in December.
