FreeYourMusic for Linux is one AppImage file for 64-bit Intel and AMD (x64) processors. Download it from the download page, make it executable and start it. On a Chromebook, turn on Linux first and do the same in the Linux terminal.
How do I start the AppImage on Linux?

- Download the Linux app from the download page.
- Open a terminal in the folder that holds the file.
- Make the file executable: run chmod a+x followed by the file name.
- Start it: run ./ followed by the file name, or double-click the file in your file manager.
How do I use it on a Chromebook?

- Turn on Linux in the Chromebook settings (the Linux development environment).
- Download the Linux app and move the file to Linux files in the Files app.
- Open the Terminal app and run chmod a+x followed by the file name.
- Start it: run ./ followed by the file name.
The AppImage does not start. What can I check?
- Is the file executable? Run the chmod step again, or allow the file to run as a program in its properties.
- Is the processor x64? Run uname -m in a terminal. It must say x86_64.
- Does your distribution have FUSE? AppImages need the FUSE library. Some newer distributions do not install it by default. Install the FUSE package of your distribution and try again.

Is there a .deb or .rpm package?
No. We publish the Linux app as an AppImage only. It runs on most distributions without installation.
How do I update the Linux app?
The app tells you when an update is ready. You can also open the File menu and choose "Check for Updates...". See install and update.
