When you buy Premium on Android, Google Play takes the payment and manages the subscription. You cancel, switch plans and ask for refunds through Google Play, and you restore the purchase in the app with the same Google account.

How do I cancel?

Cancel a Google Play subscription

  1. Open the Google Play Store app.
  2. Tap your profile picture in the top right corner.
  3. Tap Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
  4. Tap FreeYourMusic.
  5. Tap Cancel subscription and follow the steps.

You can also start from FreeYourMusic: open the Profile tab, choose "Premium", and tap "Subscription Management from Google Play". Google explains every way to manage a subscription on its subscriptions help page.

After you cancel, Premium stays on until the end of the period you paid for. Your subscription renews until you cancel it.

How do I switch plans?

Open the same Subscriptions page in Google Play and tap FreeYourMusic. Google Play shows the plans you can switch to, if any.

How do I get a refund?

Google Play holds the money for Play Store purchases, so Google decides refunds under its own rules. We cannot refund a Google Play purchase ourselves.

Ask Google Play for a refund

  1. Open your Google Play order history and sign in with the Google account you used to buy.
  2. Find the FreeYourMusic order.
  3. Choose Request a refund or Report a problem, then pick the option that describes your case.
  4. Fill in the form and submit it.

Google describes the process and its time limits on its refund help page. If Google refunds or revokes the purchase, Premium ends on your licence.

How do I restore my purchase on a new phone?

Restore a Google Play purchase

  1. Sign in to Google Play with the same Google account you used to buy Premium.
  2. Install FreeYourMusic and open it.
  3. Open the Profile tab and choose "Premium".
  4. Tap "Restore purchase" below the plans.

The app sends your purchase to us to check it, and Premium turns on when the check passes. A purchase belongs to the Google account that made it.

Frequently asked questions

The app says my payment is pending. What does that mean?

You see "Your payment is pending. Premium unlocks when the store confirms it." Some payment methods take time to clear. Premium turns on by itself when Google Play confirms the payment.

Can I cancel my Google Play subscription on your website?

No. Only Google Play can cancel a subscription it sold. Use the Subscriptions page in the Play Store app.

Can I use my Google Play purchase on my computer?

Yes. One licence works on all your own devices. Use Premium on another device.

Does uninstalling the app cancel my subscription?

No. Cancel it in Google Play, or Google keeps charging you.
