Napster: move your playlists with the Napster converter

On this page2 sections ▾

Napster is no longer available for direct connection in FreeYourMusic. To move your Napster playlists, convert your Napster export file with the free Napster converter. It turns the file into an Excel (XLSX) file, which you then import into Spotify, Apple Music or another service with FreeYourMusic.

How do I move my Napster playlists?

Move your music from Napster

  1. Get your Napster export file (a .txt file).
  2. Open the Napster converter, choose the file and click "Convert to XLSX". The converted file downloads.
  3. Open FreeYourMusic and pick File Backup as the service you move from.
  4. Tap "SELECT XLSX FILE" and pick the file you just downloaded, then choose the service you move to.
  5. Under "Choose file columns", check which column is the title, the artist and the album, then tap "Begin transfer".

The import works like any file import. See file backup: export to and import from Excel.

Frequently asked questions

Can I still connect Napster directly in FreeYourMusic?

No. Napster is no longer available for direct connection. Use the Napster converter on our website, then import the XLSX file with File Backup.

Does the converter cost anything?

No, the converter is free. The songs you then move count toward the free limit like in any transfer.
