Album and artist transfers do not work with Amazon Music. Playlists and liked songs do.

Limits

  • One Amazon Music playlist holds up to 2,500 songs. A longer playlist is split into more than one playlist on Amazon Music.
  • Amazon Music lets apps look songs up by their ISRC, a code that identifies a recording, so matches into Amazon Music are more exact. How matching works.

Known issues

  • Some songs show "Deleted at target" and stay that way. When a song is not available on Amazon Music any more, Amazon Music leaves it out when apps read the playlist, but still counts it. FreeYourMusic then cannot find the song and marks it "Deleted at target". There is no fix on our side. Why songs show "Deleted at target".
  • "Amazon Music maintenance required!" This shows when Amazon Music transfers need to be set up again. Connect Amazon Music again and recreate your Amazon Music transfers. You keep all the songs that were transferred before.

Frequently asked questions

Why do some songs in my Amazon Music playlist say "Deleted at target"?

Amazon Music hides songs that are no longer available when apps read a playlist, but still counts them. FreeYourMusic cannot see those songs, so it marks them "Deleted at target". The playlist itself is fine.

Can I move albums or artists to Amazon Music?

No. Amazon Music works with playlists and liked songs in FreeYourMusic.

How many songs can an Amazon Music playlist hold?

Up to 2,500. FreeYourMusic splits a longer playlist into more than one Amazon Music playlist.

Do I lose my songs when the app asks me to recreate my Amazon Music transfers?

No. You keep all the songs that were transferred before. Recreating the transfer lets it carry on syncing.
