FreeYourMusic moves your playlists, your liked songs, the playlists you follow, and, with Premium, your saved albums and artists. It does not move podcasts, audio files or playlists that belong to the music service itself.
What moves
Playlists
Every playlist you made moves, on every supported service. In the app they are listed under "PLAYLISTS".
Liked songs
Your liked or favourite songs move where the source lets apps read them and the destination lets apps add them. In the app they are listed under "FAVOURITES".
Playlists you follow
Playlists made by other people that you follow or saved are listed under "LIKED PLAYLISTS". FreeYourMusic moves them to the destination along with your own playlists.
Albums and artists
Your saved albums and followed artists move with Premium, where both services support them. In the free version, the app shows "Albums move with Premium."
What never moves
- Podcasts. No music service lets apps transfer them.
- Playlists owned by the service, such as the editorial playlists made by Spotify. The app shows "Copyrighted by Spotify, cannot be transferred" or leaves them out.
- Top songs lists that a service makes for you. These cannot be transferred.
- Audio files. FreeYourMusic moves the information about your music, not the music itself. The new service plays the songs from its own catalogue.
- Play counts and listening history. Your new service starts its own.
Want to keep a service-made playlist? Add its songs to a playlist of your own on the old service, then move that playlist.
What each service supports
Playlists work on every service. Liked songs, albums and artists depend on the service. "Liked songs (read)" means the service can be the source, and "Liked songs (write)" means it can be the destination. A transfer works only when the source can read and the destination can write.

Frequently asked questions
Can FreeYourMusic transfer my liked songs?
Yes, where the source lets apps read liked songs and the destination lets apps add them. Check the table above for your two services.
Can I transfer albums and followed artists?
Yes, with Premium, where both services support albums and artists.
Can I transfer podcasts?
No. Music services do not let apps transfer podcasts, so FreeYourMusic cannot move them.
Can I transfer playlists made by Spotify?
Not directly. Playlists owned by Spotify cannot be transferred. Add the songs to a playlist of your own on Spotify first, then move that playlist.
What counts toward the free limit?
Every song that is added to the destination, in a playlist or in your liked songs. Albums and artists move with Premium, which has no limit. Saving your library to an Excel backup file does not count. What counts as a song.
