Moving playlists is easier than you think

August 10, 2017

It’s late-ish summer now. Kinda makes you wonder how long before those leaves start turning yellow, then there’s snow and the whole cycle of life. The fact is, everything’s changing. Tastes in music? Change. Fashion? Change. Culinary tastes? Change. How to cope with the carousel?

We all know someone that kept saying that they’ll never switch windows to mac because of… well, reasons. Anyway, this guy gets to play around with a mac one day and immediately falls in love with it. See? Change.

What can this poor soul do with all his favourite music? What would you do?

We know what we’d do.

Enter STAMP.

Right after saying hello, wiping its shoes on the doormat of your newlywed Mac and taking off its hat. STAMP will compliment on what a nice place you have and after a short small, it’ll get to work.

First, give the man some access to your Accessibility features.

You can now import any .CSV file downloaded on your computer. This means you can get music from Spotify, online radios, or any other streaming service, that allows creating playlists.

After finding all the playlists on your computers. Be it the mega mixes from high school or college favs – STAMP won’t judge.

How does it work?

It’s like plumbing service. You call for help, you wait for a bit, some surprisingly nice old man comes to your house to fix your problems. All you can do is watch in awe, how easy it look while he does it. You can’t help, cause you don’t have the slightest clue on what’s going on, but after a while, the man comes back to you to say that he’s done. The hard work, the dangers or failure resulting in breaking anything and most importantly – all the work has been done for you!

You’ll notice that STAMP works exactly the same but with moving playlists and minus the awkward silence created by your possible inappropriate joke about any Italian relatives (because he’s a plumber- get it?)

All your music available on Spotify will be found, herded into your new playlist and will eagerly graze awaiting your ears. Yes, there’s a chance for a few stray sheep.

This is because of the fact that Spotify might not have some track in its libraries, thus it can’t be played. (Why Tool, why?!) So unless it’s a Wu Tang Clan album and you’re Bill Murray, there’s no guarantee that you’ll have all your precious tunes, but there’s no need to panic just yet. You can switch to another platform. One that might have more, or all your music maybe? You’re free to experiment with all possibilities, free from any constraints. You won’t find Tool track available anywhere, but you’ll find how easy it is to jump from one streaming provider to another!

We do realise this wasn’t much of a tutorial for moving playlists, but then again, we realise that there’s hardly any need for it. Yes, we had to write something. Yes, we may have taken on a bet to smoothly write ‘Bill Murray’ in a text without making it out of context. But hey- you know how STAMP works? Mission complete.

Go find your music!
